Romy Neumark made history as the first news anchor directly appealing to female viewers and furthering the development of gender-neutral Hebrew and the use of Israeli Sign Language on TV. In this class, she will share valuable insights derived from her team's dedicated efforts to amplify underrepresented voices.

Romy Neumark serves as a Gerard Weinstock Visiting Lecturer in the Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations department at Harvard and is a Fellow at Harvard's Center for Jewish Studies. She joined Harvard as a Nieman Fellow last year, bringing with her over two decades of experience in the Israeli media, where she held the position of senior news anchor at KAN (Israeli Public Broadcaster).
