What is Women's Torah?

  • Lehrhaus 425 Washington Street Somerville, MA 02143 USA (map)

Throughout history, Jewish women have found ways to share their wisdom, including through textual genres like poetry and memoir. Beyond the efforts to “reclaim” women’s voices from traditional texts, what does it mean to include women’s writings in their own words in our canon of Torah? Join Danielle Kranjec to study excerpts from Jewish women’s writings and address the question: What is Women’s Torah? This session presented with support from the Jewish Women’s Archive.

Danielle Kranjec is Associate Vice President for Jewish Education at Hillel International.
