A history of Jewish involvement in the movies, from the founding moguls to Steven Spielberg and Woody Allen, as well as a look at how Jews have been portrayed on film going back to the early silent era and through the decades since.

Veteran film critic Daniel M. Kimmel has written for a variety of outlets (including Variety) and was the "Movie Maven" and later editor for the Jewish Advocate (z"l). He has taught at both Emerson Collge and Suffolk University, and is the author of several books of both fiction and non-fiction. He is the recipient of the Skylark Award given by the New England Science Fiction Association.
