Join Alison Laichter for a Jewish meditation workshop exploring mystical mindstates, Kabbalistic practices to elevate the everyday, and modern Jewish mindfulness. No experience necessary, just your breath, and a drink (alcohol optional). With instruction, discussion, Q&A, and time to practice, you’ll learn the basics of Jewish meditation and how to create a sustainable and divine daily practice. Come if you are a total beginner or an advanced yogi, if you’re interested in deepening your practice, tangling up your Jewish and meditation practices, or finally learning how to sit still.
Alison is a meditation teacher, consultant, and urban planner. She is a leader of spiritual practice, designs and facilitates large and small gatherings all over the world, and loves working with individuals and organizations to deepen and grow community. After completing her BS in Civil Engineering at The Cooper Union and an MS in Urban Planning at Columbia University, she accidentally started the Jewish Meditation Center in NYC and began leading meditation at schools and universities, museums, farms, monasteries, and bars, from Mexico City to Brooklyn and Mumbai to Los Angeles. When she’s not teaching and working to create inclusive, accessible, and radically amazing experiences and organizations, she’s with her partner and sweet kiddos at the beach.
