Judaism and Christianity are two religions that are heirs to the ancient Israelites, a.k.a. Hebrews. In the First Century C.E., these two religions that are still thriving today were born. At the instant of their respective birth narratives are two stories, both of which involve death and resurrection. This class will explore death and resurrection narratives prior to the formation of these two religions and then will look closely at the founding narratives of each religion in greater depth.
