What Story Do We Tell Around The Seder Table? Passover Narratives Between Israel And America

  • Lehrhaus 425 Washington Street Somerville, MA 02143 USA (map)

In every generation, Jews re-tell the Passover story in light of the historic events of their own lifetime. Over the last century, the Passover story has been re-shaped by mass-immigration, the Holocaust, the founding of the Jewish State, Feminism, the 60’s, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Climate change, and more. Since October 7th the Passover story has again become relevant in inspiring and chilling ways. As we explore the ways the Exodus story becomes meaningful in our and in every generation, we’ll also explore ideas and inspirations for our own Family seders this year.
