Rabbi Emily Winer, Manager of Boston for Shalom Hartman Institute of North America and the Director of Spiritual Engagement at Congregation Beth Sholom in Providence, RI, teaches this class on holiness.

Jewish thought entails descriptions of the Divine as being holy and an injunction for human beings to be holy. What does holiness mean? What is the relationship between Divine holiness and human holiness? How does holiness relate to concrete practice?

Rabbi Emily Goldberg Winer is the Manager of Boston for Shalom Hartman Institute of North America and the Director of Spiritual Engagement at Congregation Beth Sholom in Providence, RI. Emily was ordained by Maharat and is a Wexner Graduate Fellow and Master’s student at Yeshiva University. Emily lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her husband Jonah and their extroverted Golden Retriever named Barley.
