The Shema from a Mental Health Perspective

  • Lehrhaus 425 Washington Street Somerville, MA 02143 USA (map)

We all could use more tools to help support our mental health. In this class, we’ll take the Shema, one of the core Jewish prayers, and study it through a healing lens to create a meaningful daily prayer practice.

Hindy Finman (she/her) is a rabbinical student at Hebrew College. Over the past decade Hindy has been teaching and learning Torah and Chassidus through a mental health lens with the goal of normalizing the human experience. Hindy is a ceramic artist, pretends to play the banjo, and loves cold water swims.

Open to all learning levels, texts will be provided.
