This conversation will explore the power of representation in film, highlighting the importance of Jewish voices and perspectives in the entertainment industry. And, of course, we’ll delve into two fascinating projects—Bad Shabbos and Nobody Wants This—examining how these films reflect and amplify Jewish identity, while resonating with audiences worldwide. Whether you're a budding filmmaker, a seasoned storyteller, or simply a lover of cinema, this event promises to inspire and spark new ideas for how we can use film to connect, empower, and create lasting impact.

Daniel Robbins is an East Coast director who hopes to never move West. He’s had films on Netflix and Hulu and his new film BAD SHABBOS just won the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film is a hilarious Jewish comedy in the vein of "Meet The Parents" and it stars Kyra Sedgwick, Jon Bass, Milana Vayntrub, and Cliff “Method Man” Smith.

The film will be playing in Boston for one night only at the Somerville Theater on Saturday night, November 16th: https://ticketing.bostonjfilm.org/websales/pages/info.aspx?evtinfo=448631~3a1dbf00-5ad7-4f53-af12-28ba7bfe20f4
