If you have ever felt like you have sincerely prayed but your Tefillot have gotten you nowhere, this class is for you. This inspirational and text based class will explore several fundamental approaches to the phenomenon of unanswered prayers, and how we can derive guidance and encouragement as we continue to make requests of G-d. 
This class is for anyone in the community who wishes to learn about Tefillot and the general concept of prayer - no prior experience needed. Texts will be provided in their original language and translated during the course of the class.

Ellie Riesel currently lives in Newton and works for Greater Boston NCSY together with her husband Rabbi Yudi. She previously taught Chumash and served as the Director for Upper School Student Life at Maimonides School in Brookline, MA and taught Tanach at Berman Hebrew Academy in Rockville, MD prior to that. She holds a BA in Judaic Studies from Stern College for Women and a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Loyola University of Chicago.
