LEHRHAUS MEMBERSHIP

Lehrhaus is a fusion of two distinctly Jewish traditions: the tavern and the house of learning, or beit midrash.  Join us in building a space where community thrives.

For $36 a month, members gain access to a whole new way of belonging at Lehrhaus.

Membership is a way for you to further connect with the offerings that make Lehrhaus special. As a member, you’ll be able to utilize Lehrhaus as a co-learning space during the day, meet with local educators, learn with a partner, and take daytime classes. You’re also welcome to just hang out with friends, or get some work done.

In addition to all of the above, you’ll receive two free tickets per month to our evening classes, and early access to classes that we know will sell out quickly.

LEHRHAUS DAY USE

We are so excited to open our doors during the day for members to utilize the warm and welcoming space we have worked so hard to create. Whether you join us to learn with a hevrutah, get some work done, or meet with a community member, we want Lehrhaus to be a place where you feel at home.

Day Learning Opportunities:

We offer a variety of opportunities for members to craft their own learning journeys. These include: 

  • 1-on-1 study sessions local educators

  • Curriculum and study guides to help direct your learning no matter your level of experience

  • Hevrutah Matchmaking for members to meet and learn together

  • Daytime classes on topics of particular interest to our members

Monday - Thursday 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Friday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

What is available during the day?

  • Pastries and delights from across the Jewish world for purchase

  • Access to our large library of Jewish texts, including curated text study

If you are in the area or want to pop in to use the space for a day, we offer a day pass for $26 that can be purchased on site.

FAQ

  • Yes! Guests of members can purchase an $18 day pass on site.

    Members can bring in a guest for a limited-time meeting without paying the day pass fee.

  • Yes! We have day passes available for $26 that can be purchased on site.

  • The two free tickets are sent out on the 1st of each month as discount codes. These can be used for yourself to attend two classes, or shared with a friend or partner to attend a class together.

  • Due to our kashrut certification, no outside food is allowed at Lehrhaus. You are welcome to bring your own water, sparkling water, or flavored seltzers that don’t contain added fruit. Additionally, there is water available, and coffee, tea and snacks available for purchase.

  • Yes, you are welcome to stay in the lounge while our staff gets ready for dinner service. Once we re-open at 4:30 PM, you may ask the host for a table.

  • We have limited outlets accessible at Lehrhaus; however, there are a couple in the Study and portable chargers are available for charging your phone. Please see a Learning Guide for assistance.
